LIFEBLOOD
Ongoing (2025)

Many children born with HIV in the Philippines go undiagnosed for years. Doctors often only test for HIV as a last resort, typically when a recurring illness persists. As these children grow up, they must navigate a world still shaped by fear and stigma.

This portrait series is part of a long-term documentary photography project I began in 2021. It explores the quiet, often unseen experiences of women and children living with HIV. I hope to raise awareness about the importance of HIV testing, especially for women.

May this story reaches mothers who are still afraid and help them find the support, information, and sense of belonging they need.
